There is still no set date.  We have time to shift things around here.   Whatever date we choose Bill needs plenty of warning to plan for the press.

Looking forward to hearing some feedback from some of the others, as to what will work for them. How much more time they need to finish their "additions". IF there is anything that anyone else can do to help? etc.
It's great we've got a lil more time. Hope some of the others will start using this forum to keep us ALL informed.

thanks, Mel. I appreciate ya.

Hey Bill and Melissa, I would like to meet with the whole group, Michael suggested meeting in Jacksonville at his place and this would be best for me. I don't have the free time to travel till June. My time is divided between work and doing things with my family right now. I've worked on 4 of the sculptures and will have all documented in the gallery. The other works do not seem to be up to date.

Thanks for trying to keep us all on the ball!

I mean that the other member's work doesn't seem to be updated in the gallery.

Hi Jesse,
looks like I might need to start checking this forum more often. LOL

I too am hoping that we can all get together before this project is all over and done. But I know that work and just day to  day livin takes a precedence.

As for OUR gallery.........I know I've dropped the ball, on posting some of the photos. I'll see if I can't get it up to speed.

FWIW, I just sent the images that I had of Mel and Greg's seeds to them so that they can update. Anyone with photos of additions made to Mike, Lance, Deb, Charles or Kenneth's seeds..... can email them to me and I'll post them.

good to see ya on here.

take care,
bill

Unlike the forum, which highlights new posts, the draw back to the gallery system we are using is that it is impossible to tell when anything is added unless you look at every page.

Maybe we should just start adding a quick note on the forum when something new is added to the gallery so we know to check it out, or at least can tell when somthing was done.

just a thought

I will be picking up the piece at Deb and Charlie's tomorrow. I will let Jesse know, to see if he and Ken have anytime to make some additions.

tomorrow, i will have all the sculptures for my sub-group and can make the trip whenever. And, i will shoot some photos and post this week.

Perhaps, an email of a final date and time would be good, since the attendance on this forum is sparse. I admit, i often forget to check it daily:)

March 16th for the meeting at Bills.  (if this is enough time for you to plan, bill)
Sluder and I will drive up together.  Greg, if you can't make it, I will need to pick up the piece you have.
Lance..... you know the drill.

Jesse, can't wait to meet!  so june will be good.  we can meet in jacksonville sometime mid-june.  whoever can make it will be fine.
it won't hurt to meet as many times as possible, since there are bound to be a few who can't come.

i've been TERRIBLE with updating the gallery.  i promise to try harder.  i'll take pics soon.  i'll drop a line to let you know when i do,
since Cottrell mentioned theres no way to tell.

great to see ya postin, Lance. Lookin forward to meeting ya.

Mel,
Got March 16th marked on the calendar. I should have no trouble getting the press out here with that much advanced notice. I'm not sure if Greg checks in here much...might want to email him direct.

Allllllllllllrighty FOLKS. just a lil heads up on the Big Exchange this weekend, here in Ocala.
I just got off the phone with a reporter from the Ocala Star Banner, she'd agreed to do a write up and take some photographs of the 9 sculptures and the artists that show up. I told her that I thought that 1pm would be good. So ....she'll schedule the photographer for this coming SUNDAY at 1pm.
I have the Press Release that Michael sent out a while back....IF there is any other info or a new press release, I'd appreciate it if someone could pass that along to me.

NOW that I look at that press release it was dated Sept. 24, 2007.  BUT it does have all the important basic info. Smiley

The BIG exchange went as planned. It was great to see all nine sculptures in one place. AND to see how they've evolved along the way. Had a photographer from the Ocala Star Banner out to shoot some pix......SOoooooo we'll have some photos of the gathering to share soon. I'm booked all week with classes so the journalist won't be out until next week to do a  lil interview. BUT I've already forwarded the Press Release to her, so she'll be up to speed about the ol who, what, where, why part of this story. It was great to finally meet Lance and Mel. I got two of the five sculptures from the N. FL region.....already been brainstorming on my additions......have the Lance seed almost ready to DO IT. The Charles' seed will be  a lil more challenging.

All in all........great meeting......wish we could have gotten ALL of our group together but I understand when Life gets in the way of fun. I'm sure we'll all get together eventually.

Smiley....absolutely, Jesse..........
Not only the article but the images. They won't be out until next Tues. to do the interview........I had to postpone it untill then because I'm booked all this week with classes.
So I'm hoping the story will run towards the end of next week.
Sorry we didn't get a chance to meet at this exchange.........looking forward to meetin ya.
