Since we are all going to be responding to the pieces we are given and the elements that have already been added to it, it occurred to me that the way each piece evolves will depend on who gets each piece and when. There are hundreds of variations based on the exchange order etc.

I thought it would be fun to play a little game of "what if"

What would you add if you were given these elements. how would to respond?

Throw out your ideas, and comment on the others.

My first element will be a large direct carve cast aluminum hemispheres similar to the center part of the piece in this picture, but probably a little bigger:




I will cast these this weekend, and then post images of the real thing.

But what would you do if you were next in line for those elements?

I saw 2 options. . . .a metal ring around the outer design, as well a possible long cylindrical base. MG
